With the nature of the industry that the employees of VestaHomes Commercial Inc. and Ausland Cebu Construction Inc. are in, accidents are bound to happen. That is why being equipped with the most essential information about confronting such situations is necessary. On the 7th and 8th of January, 2021 its employees underwent a thorough training about First Aid. Spearheaded by Ms. Kezia Landangon of the Red Cross Philippines–Cebu Chapter, the staff of both companies were trained the basic and most essential about First Aiding.
During the two-day seminar, the participants were taught how to properly perform a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), including the proper procedure of attending a person in need in grave situations. They were also taught how to bandage different injuries–from the head down to the leg–and to differentiate one injury from the other with its corresponding first aid management.
Although accidents are inevitable, certain measures can be taken to mitigate its severity; fear can now be managed when dealing with accidents. Employees of both companies will now be able to preserve life, prevent further harm and complications, seek immediate medical help, and provide reassurance to the rest of the employees–which are the very objectives of First Aid.
